MK1s 53 - 5 Risborough
A tough 1st half as they went into the break 5-3 down.
After, regrouping at half time, they knuckled down to score a magical 50 points
This was the time i captured the male, he would sit on street lights a field away. watching the nest or waiting for the female to call. the post was the feeding exchange. where he would bring a Vole or a Blue Tit or Gold Finch, Great Tits seem to be on order.
Date 13/05/2018 to 15/05/2018
This was a time my luck was in, Has i was walking by the post I heard the kestrels really calling out. and quickly turned to get these images. She was flying towards me with a vole in her talons and landed on a wall. With that she flew back in the nest.
This was an opportunity not to be missed. Heard a commotion and female flew out of nest. I came out from hiding to peek around to see what was happening. 8 meters from me there she sat with a Vole the male had brought back for her and then he took his turn on the nest whilst she devoured the vole.
I took this picture of this female Kestrel on the 1st May when she was sitting on her eggs.
I would frequently go and visit. Always keeping a good distance from the bird walking Quietly and hiding in a tree so to camoflauge myself so i could study there behaviour also in hope the male would come and bring her some food.
The pictures below were taken 3rd May and 6th May, I was lucky enough to get her flying back into the nest and then few days later a male brought a vole for her to eat.
Unfortunately i didn't get a picture of the male.
But wait for next time you may even get a picture.
